Constant

Show me the infinite whirl
where moments and matter entwine
and then tell me that the answer
matters at all

to the question
“What do you chose here, now?”

I am moving through my own shadow
so swiftly, that by the time
you decide to stop time

and choose
the choices will be different,

meters will be compressed,
time will have reversed, repeated,
and the very thought of

choosing
will be the only constant.

But see, nothing is ever lost,
as one second equals another,
and all is conserved, though changed,
for the next.
